NHL Network’s Top 10 Moments from “The Streak”

21-0-3 after 24 of 48 games this season. 24-0-6 in their last 30 regular season games dating back to last season. 12 comeback wins this season. A 4-0 record when the game ends in overtime this season.  Both goaltenders ranked in the top 5 in GAA, save percentage, and wins. An NHL-best 1.79 GAA. 6 players with at least a +10 rating. Ray Emery becomes the first NHL goalie to start a season with 10 straight wins. The best home AND  road record in the NHL. The best goal differential NHL. If there was one story that defines the 2012-13 NHL season so far, it’s the streak of the Chicago Blackhawks. For the past few weeks, this streak, alongside the winning streak of the Miami Heat, have been the top story on ESPN’s SportsCenter. This streak has put the NHL in the forefront; this time, for all the good reasons. Even NBA analysts Tim Legler, Chris Broussard, AND Kurt Rambis are amazed at the Hawks’ streak. After last night’s game, Miami Heat forward LeBron James tweeted about the streak. It is something that no one, not even the players themselves, could ever dream what they have done so far. It is a streak that is most likely never going to be duplicated for a while. There are so many moments that could define the streak, but the folks at NHL Network’s signature show, NHL Tonight, came up with the 10 best moments from “The Streak.”
