Coach’s Corner at the Stanley Cup Final Rewind: June 5, 2017

Since 1993, it’s been an annual tradition that during the Stanley Cup Final, the top prospects for the upcoming NHL Draft are interviewed by Don Cherry. But since the NHL Scouting Combine was held over the weekend in Buffalo, the prospects interview had to be scheduled for Game 4 instead of the traditional Game 3 for the second straight year. So without any further ado, here’s the latest Coach’s Corner featuring 2017 NHL Draft prospects Nico Hischier, Nolan Patrick, Casey Mittlestadt, and Gabriel Vilardi.

ICYMI: Mike “Doc” Emrick and Pierre McMcGuire Eat at Primanti Bros.

Last night, during NBCSN’s pregame coverage of Game 2, NHL on NBC Play-by-Play announcer Mike “Doc” Emrick and Inside the Glass analyst Pierre McGuire took a visit to Pittsburgh’s Strip District and visited the icon of Pittsburgh food: Primanti Bros. Opened in 1933, this restaurant, home to the famous stuffed sandwich, has fed a lot of native Yinzers and visitors alike for over eight decades.  The stuffed sandwich concept began when truckers wanted a meal on the go. And so, sandwiches come in all sizes, but all come with fries, vinaigrette slaw, and tomato slices between the two slices of Italian bread. In the clip below, Doc and Pierre have their unique take on the Pittsburgh icon:
